Rail exhaust extraction system KOS-L/OBP

Application

The self-tightening suction duct KOS-L is a solution for removal the vehicle exhaust fume through the mobile balancing extractor OBP which is moving along the duct. The extraction trolley is displacing along the duct while vehicle is pulling the hose with nozzle connected at the vehicle’s exhaust pipe.

Structure

The KOS-L duct is assembled of steel segments of length 8.2 feet joined together to any required length, depending on the User’s needs. The trolley’s fitting piece is sliding under the rubber apron, covering the whole length of the perforated side wall of the duct. The underpressure (coming from the extraction fan) seals up the apron. The extractor is equipped with a balancer (to lift the hose), a locking pawl fixing the hose with nozzle at required length.

In the application with a self-release nozzle the release mechanism disconnects the nozzle at the moment when the extraction trolley approaches the duct-end. After the nozzle disconnection, the hose with nozzle is being lifted to home position. On the other hand, in application with a nozzle without self-releaser – disconnect it manually and pull slightly the hose to activate the balancer to lift.

Terminal stoppers – fixed at the duct-ends – are braking smoothly the trolley, while it approaches the duct-ends. The recommended height of duct mounting is 14 feet above the floor surface. Discharge ductwork can be connected to any of the duct-ends as well as to duct side-wall.
